The three design principles in the ‘Mechanistic Systems’ column are not written anywhere. They are principles we can infer from the cultural patterns within today’s traditional organizations of all kinds.

These three mechanistic principles can be thought of as ‘design flaws’ pervasive throughout traditional organizations. We see these as root cause flaws responsible for Red-Orange-Yellow organizational cultures.

The three ‘conscious living systems’ design principles open up extraordinary possibilities for passion, innovation, fulfilling work, organizational resilience and more. Our Project 10X approach supports committed organizational leaders and changemakers in implementing these principles in organic ways, and in ways that grow the organization's capacity for ongoing learning and growth.
